Chess men and board
About Us
The chess board is made with light and dark hardwoods, each square is approximately 2"x2"x2", with a curly Maple side boarder.
Chess men are individually carved each piece is unique and have have there own personality. Each chess set is hand made, no two set are alike.
One, Regulation size chess board
2x2x2 inch squares
The final board size will be approximately 16 x 16 inches, with 28 light and 28 dark squares in an alternating pattern.
Light colored chess pieces;
8 Pawns, 2 rooks, 2 knights, 2 bishops, 1 queen, and 1 king
Dark colored chess pieces;
8 Pawns, 2 rooks, 2 knights, 2 bishops, 1 queen, and, 1 king
All pieces and chess board will be moisturized with butcher block mineral oil and then coated with clear oil based Polyurethane.
Each chess piece will be bottom weighed and capped with soft fabric.
